PYE Weeks 10 & 11: Yucky Scalp; One Month Since My Last Wash
For the 4 Weeks, I've been on travel non-stop; I have been neglectful in posting my updates for the challenge. Though I have been a full participant, wearing only protective styles and taken pictures to show the style, I haven't been updating like I should have.
For weeks 10 and 11, I wore my hair in…

P.Y.E Week 9: The Big Chop Heebie Jeebies!
It’s week 9 of the challenge and I’m still on travel so I’m still rocking my bun…I love it though! It’s full and big and easy; certainly not a style I have to sleep pretty to maintain. Tomorrow I plan to re-moisturize, seal and braid up my hair. I am really excited about the end of the challenge. Normally, I wear my…

Week 5- Check in : Twists and Bun pt 2
I started the week doing a deep condition with twists in. This was my first time trying this and it was a total success. It is so easy to condition and rinse with twists in. Also, wetting my hair and then putting it in a satin scarf, eliminated the frizz. It was a great fresh start for my hair without taking the twist down. That night I put my twists in two buns. And for the rest of the week I continued bunning.
Not sure what I am doing this week, I just did a wash day. So I will…

I think that because I'm so new to the natural hair journey, this challenge is kind of growing with me as learn more about myself and my hair. I've been rocking the bun all week with slightly different variations and I haven't really been bored yet because I'm still trying to find the right products to make me truly when I finish. Here is a pics (when I remembered to take them throughout the week.

Protect ya end Challenge 2012: Week one in Bunning
Right now, my life, until spring school semester begins, involves mostly staying at home with the occasional outing. Therefore, this week I have kept my styling pretty simple. I did buns when I was going out, and at other times I kept my hair in loose twists under a satin bonnet.
I found this youtube on four easy bun styles and I experiement with these through out week, just to have something new to try…

Protect Ya Ends Weekly Recap
So I played it really lazy and avoided leaving the house for the majority of the week. My hair has been in bantu knots with a scarf on since Monday and today was the first day I removed my hat!
So I did a bun because it is something that I can do and be relatively satisfied with. My biggest goals while doing this challenge will be to find another style that looks neat and put together that I can also accomplish in a relatively short amount of time. I added a flower but I…
