Journey to Natural: Then & Now
Today is Oct 31, 2012 and after a 2 year transition (June 2010-June 2012), I am now 28 months post relaxer and 4 months post big chop (BC). I decided to reflect on my journey thus far and think about my hair goals for the future.
Recently, I did a length check:…

Beauty Day Sunday FAIL: Coconut Milk Deep Conditioner
I was so excited to try a new protein deep conditioner recipe, but based on my experience I’ll chalk this one up as an epic fail!

I began…

Oh, No She Didn’t!
Last weekend, I was fortunate enough to be taken on a weekend cruise for my birthday by my aunt. It was a great mini-get away. The boat stopped in Freeport Bahamas for the day and we went to Lucaya Beach. I was LOVIN my bush that day and I let it hang out! I’d received many compliments from various people on the boat and I just knew my fro was #everything! So I’m hanging out…

Freedom
It has now been several months, since I decided to go natural. Some would say since I had my own hair in braids for the last ten years, I was already natural. For me, I beg to differ. My whole attitude has changed. I feel free, wonderful and natural. This is what I started with and and this is what I will end up with. I feel liberated,up to a certain point. I have yet to take a picture of my new glorious…

My Hair Diary
I did the Big Chop three times starting in the year of 2010 and the third one was pretty recent. I decided to let my third chop be the last. PYE Weeks 10 & 11: Yucky Scalp; One Month Since My Last Wash
For the 4 Weeks, I've been on travel non-stop; I have been neglectful in posting my updates for the challenge. Though I have been a full participant, wearing only protective styles and taken pictures to show the style, I haven't been updating like I should have.
For weeks 10 and 11, I wore my hair in…

It’s week 9 of the challenge and I’m still on travel so I’m still rocking my bun…I love it though! It’s full and big and easy; certainly not a style I have to sleep pretty to maintain.
