Well Hello All.
After much research and obsession over my hair I have decided to go natural. I have had a relaxer on and off since I was in maybe the 3rd grade. And it was something I begged for, since I was so tender headed, but it something my mother regrets to this day. …Continue

Too often in life we set goals others may deem as unrealistic. A lot of the time we do not reach these goals, and the reason for this is not because they were unrealistic to begin with, but simply because we did not exceed our efforts and work as hard as we should have. Nothing in life is free, I believe, unless we are talking about air or water, and even then there is a price depending on what part of the world you live. What am I trying to say to you? You cannot cut your hair today and…Continue
Where is the old forum? I was in the middle of talking to another member called @nkfd but now I can't see the old fourm page. Were we notified that this would happen and I just did not see it?
Does anyone else feel a bit lost? I would be so glad to hear from others who used to be on the old forum.
Snapshot_20130815_9.JPG Hi everyone, I'm kind of of new to all of this. I actually visited this website many times before. I love seeing all of you natural black females with your natural hair. I was hoping to get some advice. I am a 20 year old college student, mother to 11 month old and girlfriend to the most…Continue

I finally took my weave out after two months, and I must say I'm happy with how my hair turned out. The reason for getting the weave installed was because my prior stylist colored my hair, which lead to tons of damage. Now when I say damage I mean; hair breakage, split ends, dry, fragile hair, which was nothing like my hair prior to the color treatment. While having the installment I took extra care of my hair. I washed it every two weeks, as needed, I used olive oil to help keep the…Continue

Rihanna is rocking a new look -- short curls -- and many are speculating that it might be the singer's natural texture, or a loosened version of it. She debuted the look on Instagram with this photo and caption:
Still tryna get used to my hurr, so I threw on some #redlipstick #RIRIWoo
We love the look! But Riri is known to switch up her hair every few months, so we have to enjoy seeing it on her while we can. What do you…Continue
I did my B/C June 8, 2013. So yes I'm a newbie. Six days shy of my 2 month struggle lol. I'd never thought in a million years I would ever cut all my hair off and rock a Boosie fade. Now I'm loving it and it's different from the "NORM" at my job but who cares?! Finding out what works for 'YOUR HAIR" is a challenge. But finding a healthy hair regimen is Key. We all want growth. So what products have you used and…Continue

Its on thing to be natural but being natural and not knowing what you're doing is the worst thing. That's what I've been doing since I started doing my own hair, the wrong thing. If I knew about the regimens and protective styles, my hair would have been at its peak already. So, I decided to blog about my journey on being natural and what it takes to succeed. I want to help you succeed too!
I just began my true natural styling regimen tonight; I did a hot oil treatment, I…Continue
