I'm going on a bit of a challenge. I started March of 2015 and I'll carry it out until March of 2016 (hopefully... patience...)
For the last year and a half, I've had my hair in Marley braids. When I finally took them out for good, I saw that my hair had grown a ton AND retained a lot of length. It was kind of amazing. I had put my hair away in frustration, and then it came back better than it had ever been.
So I plan to help it hold on to what it retained last year and…

SO for anyone who was still uncertain about doing a hot oil treatment for their hair as a prepping treatment , I am here to say IT WORKS!
For 11 years , I've had the same hairdresser treating my hair without any intercessions or opinions from me. She bleached my hair , she treated it and i did nothing to it until the next salon day . (PS. I have been natural all my life- I've only tried to flat-iron it twice*be sure to get it professionally done! )
Anyhow , Ive moved…Continue

I have a tutorial and blog post about this really simple bun.
It can be done in under 5 minutes and if you want a "polished" look; tie a scarf around to smooth out the edges for 10 minutes, take it off and you are done!
So I have redone nearly all of my DIY's for my hair (I will slowly start sharing them in case someone wants to try something new). I redo my products because after a while it feels like my curls "get use to" mixes after regular use and doesn't react like they should. This is my favorite Moisturizing & Fortifying DC (Pink CoCream Hibiscus DC). …Continue

We had our first sign of the winter to come. It was called 3-4 inches of snow over the weekend. Temperatures hitting the single digits. Wind blowing and baby it is cold outside.
I am so glad that I have decided to keep my hair in its current state, small twist, which I only untwist to tightened or to wash. I don't wash my hair as often in the winter as I do in the summer. Every two weeks in the summer and once a month in the winter. Since I don't use a lot of product, I don't…Continue
